Cantaloupe: currently, thanks to the number of varieties of this fruit and to the existence of crops in greenhouses, melons can be available throughout the year. However, its real season runs from May to September, and outside this time its price is higher. To know the degree of maturity of the melon, we must smell it. If it gives off a sweet and delicate aroma, it is mature. If not, it can be left for several days at room temperature until softened, and then stored in the fridge when it is ready.
