The parsnip is a medicinal plant known to be native to the warmer areas of Europe (although to fully develop needs frosts and intermittent cold seasons). This plant with therapeutic effects belongs to the Umbelliferae family and has the scientific name of Pastinaca sativa. It is a species that grows biennially with whitish root and an aroma reminiscent of the carrot.
